After highlighting the high incidence of fox predation, on turtle eggs throughout the park, Friends of Yellagonga was successful in obtaining funding from the DEC, the cities of Wanneroo and Joondalup for a trapping program. In the initial 2 weeks of trapping 13 foxes were removed from Yellagonga Regional Park. It is anticipated that trapping will become an integral part of Yellagonga Regional Park management.
