From Joondalup Times:
The City of Joondalup will install interpretive signs in Yellagonga Regional Park and along the coastal pathway between Burns Beach and Marmion after receiving grants from the State Government and LotteryWest.
The City received $20,000 from the State Government’s Environmental Community Grants Program for the signage in Yellagonga and almost $45,000 from LotteryWest for signage along the coastal path.
The signs will highlight native plant and animal species and their uses by Aboriginal people in the area.
Mayor Troy Pickard said the project highlighted the city’s commitment to promoting biodiversity management and educating the community on preserving the environment.
