From the Heart Fountation:
The aim of Park Walks is to encourage people to enjoy themselves in their natural environment, including national parks, regional parks and other protected areas, such as botanic gardens. These protected areas are not just vital for maintaining the essential systems of life but are the perfect place to improve health and wellbeing.
Park Walks is a joint initiative of the Heart Foundation and the Department of Environment and Conservation and invites community members to participate in free walks led by volunteer guides from the ‘Friends of’ groups of each park.
Get into a park – just for the health of it!
See Heart Fountation site for more information and registration.
